It appears that there is significant political movement surrounding Senator Neda Imasuen’s potential defection from the Labour Party to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Utubor, who met with Imasuen on Tuesday night in Benin, confirmed that the senator is inclined to join the APC soon. Utubor emphasized that efforts are being made to ensure Imasuen’s defection would enhance the APC’s influence both at the state and national levels.
Imasuen, who currently serves as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges, has remained tight-lipped about his status within the Labour Party. However, Utubor shared that the senator’s recent body language strongly suggests his upcoming move to the APC.
Imasuen, according to Utubor, is particularly impressed by the governor’s performance and has expressed support for uniting the state under the governor’s leadership.
