The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has announced the payment modalities for the mandatory 2025 Annual Bar Practicing Fee (BPF) for legal practitioners in Nigeria.
The NBA has outlined the fees based on years of practice to ensure compliance with the Legal Practitioners Act.
2025 Bar Practicing Fees:
| Years of Practice | Fee (Naira) |

| 0-4 years | 5,000 |
| 5-9 years | 10,000 |
| 10-14 years | 17,500 |
| 15 years and above | 25,000 |
| Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs) & Honourable Benchers | 50,000 (depending on years in rank) |
Payment of the Bar Practicing Fees will commence on January 1, 2025 and will close on 31st March 2025.
To enhance the payment process, the NBA recommends downloading the new NBA Digital App, which allows for easy payment of the Bar Practicing Fee and access to additional Bar Services.
