The Nigerian Bar Association, Maiduguri Branch, unequivocally condemns the horrifying explosion that rocked the mosque at Gamboru Market, Maiduguri, on Wednesday, the 24th day of December 2025.
This detestable act of violence reportedly not only claimed innocent lives but also intended to sow seeds of fear in our community, which stands united against such barbarity.
We extend our deepest condolences to the families mourning their loved ones during this tragic time. Our hearts go out to those who sustained injuries, and we wish them a swift and complete recovery.
We urge the government and our security forces to intensify their efforts in safeguarding the lives, and property of the citizens. We cannot relent in our pursuit of peace and security.

Additionally, we call upon every member of the public to remain vigilant at all times and in all spaces. Together, we can fortify our community against those who seek to disrupt our harmony.
