The Immediate Past Publicity Secretary of the NBA Eastern Bar Forum, Barth Aniche Okoye, has extended a warm goodwill message to the NBA Asaba Branch ahead of its highly anticipated Law Week 2025, themed “Strategic Lawyering: The Business Behind the Brief.”
Speaking in his characteristic reflective tone, Okoye described the event as “a timely and transformative gathering that speaks directly to the realities of modern legal practice.”
According to him, the theme demonstrates the readiness of NBA Asaba to lead conversations that matter in an increasingly competitive and business-conscious legal environment.
“Today’s lawyer must think beyond the brilliance of the brief,” he said. “We must understand the business behind the work we do, the strategy behind our advocacy, and the value proposition behind every service we render.”
Okoye commended the leadership and planning committee of the Asaba Branch, noting that the Law Week has consistently distinguished itself as a convergence of innovation, professional insight, and vibrant networking within the Nigerian legal community.
He further urged participants to approach the week with an open mind and a willingness to evolve.
